Amazon.com Review
This versatile cookware set from Cuisinart comprises a roomy 8-quart stockpot that's perfect for soups and pasta, 3-quart and 1-1/2-quart saucepans, and a 10-inch skillet. The stockpot and saucepans come with tempered glass covers, designed to seal in flavor without hiding the food from view. Each piece is made from durable hard-anodized aluminum that heats up quickly without hot spots, and each is lined with an advanced Quantanium nonstick coating. Quantanium is designed for healthy low-fat cooking, allowing even delicate foods like fish to be cooked without sticking. Every pan cleans up quickly and easily, and is tough enough for use with metal utensils, giving years of trouble-free service. The securely riveted stay-cool steel handles on each pan are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, so food can be browned on the stovetop then transferred to the oven to finish cooking. Together, the four pans in this set will handle almost any everyday cooking task, making them ideal for setting up a new kitchen or replacing older cookware. --Simon Leake What's in the Box 8-quart stockpot with cover; 3-quart saucepan with cover; 1-1/2-quart saucepan with cover; 10-inch skillet.

A pleasure to use and a snap to clean

This is the second cuisinart cookware set i have purchased from Amazon. The first i bought for my home and have been satisfied beyond my expectations. I bought the second 7 piece set for my travel trailor and again cannot begin to describe how wonderful they are to use.......TERRY THURMAN

Excellent value for the $

I bought this for a friend as a house-warming gift and she was quite taken by the product. They've been working great for her so far. Easy to care for, very good non-stick qualities and they give her kitchen a good look.

Love This!

Great but not perfect
Date: 2005-10-06 | Rating: 4
As always, you will never find a perfect cookware. This Cuisinart 7 piece is no exception. It is great but not perfect. Its light weight is very impresive and handle isn't that hot after long period of cooking time. Easy to clean. The non-stick surface is better than other brand. It takes very short time to heat up stuff too. However, couple weaknesses, the lit does not have a small hole to release pressure which we have to watch out for overheat spill. Plus the lit is not the same design as the pot itself, it heats up really quick. So be careful. It is not a good idea to buy plastic handle with the lit, it will deform and loose after a while. Over all, it is better than what I expected even though I have owned this set of cookware for 4 weeks.

Good For The Money......But
Date: 2005-11-10 | Rating: 3
I have had this set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion. They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot. The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6. Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface. That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion. My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The fry pans are the weakest items of the set. After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts. For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized set; and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.

Old Model is Better
Date: 2006-06-25 | Rating: 2
I bought this griddle after borrowing my friend's Cuisinart double burner griddle in April. I liked that griddle so much that I tried to get one for myself. Unfortunately, I could not find the older model anywhere so I bought this one. This current model just doesn't seem as sturdy as the original nor of the same quality. I'm disappointed.

A BAD BUY!

I bought this Griddle for my wife back in July of 2002, it warped really bad after only a few week's of use! It's been put away ever since but this morning i found it & was going to fix breakfast for my wife & me, i guess i had forgotten how bad it was. I set it on the stove & it is so warped i could hold one corner of it down & slip my hand under the oppisite corner, this made me so mad i just had to tell other's about this product! I think i'll give it to my dog to eat out of. George in MO.

Not for use on ceramic flat cooktops

I was very disappointed when I received the griddle. The bottom only rests on a ridge around the outer edge of the griddle. It is not appropriate for use on flat cooktops. Neither the picture or produce description indicated this.

My favorite oven pan
Date: 2008-04-01 | Rating: 5
I've had this pan for over 5 years now and I can say that it's easily the first one I reach for whenever I need to prepare a dish in the oven, whether a lasagna, roasted vegetables, or a gratin dish. The pan has been incredibly durable and is the perfect size. The nonstick surface has been very durable despite the best efforts of visiting parents and guests to use metal utensils on it. I've given it as a gift and it's been a hit.

Great Pan

I like this pan since it is deeper than my old pan I was using. My lasagna baked evenly and the pan cleaned up easily.

Great stir fry pan!
Date: 2007-01-17 | Rating: 5
This is a great buy. It's hard to find a nonstick hard anodized pan this large with a glass cover (which fits fine) at the price. And with the "Quantanium" non-stick surface, I could use metal utensils if I wanted along with the benefit of easy clean up. Also, please note that it's flat-bottom--I have a ceramic stove top and even calling Cuisinart didn't clear that up. I decided to take the risk and order it and it was indeed flat. Recommended!

the everyday pan
Date: 2007-09-02 | Rating: 5
Bought it about 18 months ago and have been using it almost everyday. Bought other pans too, from cuisinart and calphalon, about the same time, when I moved into this apartment. Those are good pans too, but this one has been my favoriate. It's large enough for everything, and convenient enough for stir fries. Even for those dishes that requires a flat pan (and i have two of them, both brand new), I often use this one, since the center of its bottom is flat. the inside is still perfect after 18 months' usage... and it cleans really well. i don't use dishwasher though. like the glass cover too, makes it easier for me to monitor the food while it's cooking. love it, will definitely consider giving it to sister and friends as gift. i did buy it at a better price too.

LOVE IT
Date: 2009-03-31 | Rating: 5
This is a great pan, not flimsey at all. It cooks beautifully, I just love it and highly recommend it. It's heavy duty and absolutely cooks evenly...just remember to not use high heat as the instructions tell you.

A great skillet
Date: 2009-04-26 | Rating: 5
Got tired of having to replace my teflon coated woks every few months. So far this is is a delight. With almost two months use there is no flaking or scratches. A bit heavy for one-handed flinging, but worth the weight and the price.

Perfect for stir fry
Date: 2009-08-13 | Rating: 5
I have it for several months. Works great! Big enough and deep enough to be called a real wok. Curved perfectly that no food would fly over the edge when I do stir-fry. The Quantanium nonstick interior made the cooking and cleanup easy. The best part is it comes with a glass lid. Highly recommended for Asian cooking (stir-fry, steaming...)

Versatile and good additional piece
Date: 2007-03-13 | Rating: 5
The 3 quart saucepan is a great piece. The lid has perforated holes to allow either steam to excape, or when cooking pasta, the elimination of using a colander. The lip is a nice touch and much appreciated in a larger saucepan, whose use extends beyond reduction sauces, gravies, and hot beverages. Good to boil potatos and pasta. Probably deep enough to use as a double boiler for a small amount of melting, but have not tried yet. Coated to withstand metal utensils, but it is safer to use silicone. Easy clean up, but you must buy a hard anodized cookware cleaner or expect stains. Nice versatile sized item.

Fantastic Pot
Date: 2009-10-04 | Rating: 5
I recently received a few other pieces of cookware from this line, which prompted me to order this pot. I can only say that I love it! It is very well made, has great heft and feel and is the perfect size for cooking 2 lbs. of mussels:-). As far as the lid goes, it fits fine and the glass lets you see what's going on. The perforation makes for a convenient way to drain pasta as well. All in all, a great pot.

Excellent Saucepan
Date: 2008-07-03 | Rating: 4
This is a useful addition to our kitchen. The nonstick hard-anodized surface works extremely well and the lid with the built-in strainer is a great feature. We bought this to replace a saucepan that wore out and now we are thinking of replacing all our saucepans with the Cuisinart Chef's Classic line.

Almost perfect
Date: 2009-05-25 | Rating: 4
Very nice pot with the only shortcoming being the ill-fitting lid...it's pretty loose, but not problematic. Hard anodized is my new way to go. ...well...maybe the handle is a little on the thin side for grabbing too. Could be beefier for turning to drain heavy stuff.

I'm the crepe making Queen!!!
Date: 2009-12-14 | Rating: 5
I have been making crepes for years and this this the first pan I have purchased made specifically for crepes. I love it!!! It's just the perfect size...not too big nor too small. The weight is good and it cooks the crepes with an even browning. I am very happy with my purchase...I spent hours looking for just the right one..and I found it!

Great pan - poor packaging
Date: 2008-11-24 | Rating: 4
This is a nice heavyweight pan - no hot spots at all, so even egg crepes are easy (crepe-thick omelets). Like most nonstick, it probably won't last long under high heat, but I'm not sure why one of the other reviewers would ever use high heat to make crepes... It would have been a 5 if Cuisinart had packaged it so that the surface wouldn't scratch during shipping - it is sold "open stock", in other words, no packaging except for a paper label.

Not for Commercial use
Date: 2007-08-08 | Rating: 2
I wanted a crepe pan that would hold up to alot of high temp. After 2 weeks of use it looked old. This is a terrific pan for home use, but not for commercial. We followed all instructions for cleaning. With alot of use it just can't handle high temps with a gas stove.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic non-stick hard anodized 6-quart stockpot with cover. Cool grip riveted handles for ease of use, durable hard anodized exterior, Quantanium non-stick interior, tempered glass covers seal in flavor, hard anodized, oven-safe construction.

Amazon.com Review
Slow-simmered beans, fragrant vegetable soups, and rich meaty stews all cook beautifully in this large, sturdy 6-quart saucepan. It's also ideal for blanching vegetables and cooking pasta. The thick, hard-anodized aluminum construction conducts heat evenly and efficiently through the sides as well as the base, ideal for gentle simmering, and a tempered glass lid seals in flavor while keeping the contents visible. Because a long handle would be awkward on a pan of this size, the saucepan has two stay-cool loop handles, so it's easy to maneuver even when full. Cuisinart Chef's Classic hard-anodized cookware features an advanced Quantanium nonstick coating, designed for healthy low-fat cooking. The coating is tough enough for use with metal utensils. Even delicate foods like fish can be cooked without sticking, and cleanup is quick and easy. Every pan is constructed from durable 3mm hard-anodized aluminum, providing superb heat transfer without hot spots. The securely riveted stay-cool steel handles are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, so food can be browned on the stovetop then transferred to the oven to finish cooking. This pan should be hand-washed with a mild detergent, and it carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects. --Simon Leake

Love this pot
Date: 2005-02-16 | Rating: 5
I bought this pot and had used it for chicken soup and chili. It stays boiling after I turned the heat down and will not boil over so it's perfect for braising and stewing. I've also used it to brown food on the stove top then put in the oven for baking. Everytime it gives great performance. I also love the see-through glass lid. We are very pleased with this pot and use it often. Highly recommended.

Not just a pot
Date: 2006-01-30 | Rating: 5
Hey, I know it sounds weird to review a pot (I mean it's a pot, right?) but it is a good one. Nothing sticks, we can clean it and still have time to have a life and it boils water turned to medium because, well, who knows? but it somehow conducts heat and works great to get the job done FAST. That's important because I work as a professor and a therapist and a mom of a teen who runs cross country (and eats more pasta than a stereotype) and a toddler (who eats and throws more pasta than his brother) so fast and efficient get high scores at our house.

We had purchased the 18" Saute Pan from this series earlier in the year for another Cuisinart pan. We love it. The care of this series is wonderful, I have not been able to get anything that will stick to the surface, no matter how long I forget that something is on the stove. The heat distribution is terrific as well, even if the pan is half off the burner. I am assuming we will enjoy this pan as much.

Great quality to value ratio
Date: 2006-01-15 | Rating: 5
If you are looking for a non-stick saute pan this is a great deal. The pan heats quickly and evenly, so keep the heat at medium and lower. The handle stays cool enough to handle, and the see through lid is great for viewing the food, or keeping the moisture in for some braising. The pan is more difficult to get a good browning than a stainless, but only because it has the non-stick coat. Also makes very good pan sauces, again not with the depth of flavor you'd get from the searing a stainless pan would provide. The non-stick holds up well, but I only use nylon or wood utensils. Any non-stick can gouge if metal utensils are used aggressively. I have several Cuisinart pans, and they all work wonderfully for me.

Cuisinart rocks!!
Date: 2006-03-21 | Rating: 5
I very thoroughly researched all the nonstick hard-anodized products out there and decided on Cuisinart because it had the most vesatile product selection. The 5-1/2 quart saute pan is the bomb!!! It heats faster, cooks faster, and clean-up is a breeze. The first time I used it, I cooked a stove-top dish I have cooked many times, but because the hard-anodized cooks faster and hotter, I neglected to turn the heat down to accommodate this and the whole meal was burned and I thought to myself, Oh, great! the first time you use the pan, you ruin it by burning the pan. Well I took it to the sink to pour out the remnants that were not burned and had anticipiated that I would have to soak and scrub the pan and when I tipped the pan the entire burned mess just slid out of the pan and it looked as if it had never been cooked in. What a pan!! I LOOOOOOVE this cookware. I bought every piece that Cuisinart offers in this line. BUY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!

A searing Champion
Date: 2006-07-20 | Rating: 5
I love this pan! As someone who truly enjoys cooking, I have several types of 'skillets;' cast iron, non stick annodized, and enameled cast iron. Each has its particular talents in the kitchen. I wanted a grill pan. After doing some research, I decided on this Cuisinart for two reasons: reputation and weight. I was also lucky to find it at a time when special pricing was featured. The weight issue is important for me as I have lung disease that fatigues me rather quickly. This pan is managable! But of course, the object of buying it was grilling. I have done steaks, chicken, pork and salmon in this pan, and it conducts heat beautifully. The initial sear is exquisite. It is the grill pan for which I was hoping, and I could not be more pleased.

Best Grill Purchase

I chose this Cuisinart Grill for 4 reasons. Cuisinart's reputation, price, weight and the fact that the entire grill can actually be placed in the oven. I use my grill almost daily and it is so lightweight and easy to clean. I love it!

Beautiful Grill Pan

I bought this for my Mother's birthday and what a beautiful pan this is! I could not believe the price too, so reasonable for Cuisinart. I love this nonstick hard anodized cookware. I have bought several pieces in the past and they are my favorite cookware.

best grill pan

I am a serious cook for 30 years. This is by far the best grill pan I have ever owned.

Great for indoor grilling!
Date: 2007-09-19 | Rating: 5
This is my first grill pan. I am still learning how to cook, and I purchased the Cuisinart 17 pc cookware set. This grill pan now makes my cookware set complete! I enjoy my steaks rare, so I got the grill pan really hot the first time I used it. It seared the meat nicely on the outside so it was still juicy and red on the inside. I had beautiful grill marks, too. I saw other reviews complaining about the grill marks, but mine came out nice (perhaps because the pan was on high heat?). I have a flat ceramic cooktop stove, and this pan worked perfectly on it. The pan is the same size as my largest burner, but I did not have any heat issues since the heat dispersed evenly in the pan. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do indoor grilling! Also, I saw a tip from Alton Brown on the food network... sprinkle salt on the pan so it rests in the grooves to make for easier clean-up. Although the grooves are not very deep on this pan, it does assist with the already easy clean up (although you can't really get much easier due to the non-stick feature). Happy grilling!

Love it!

I bought this pot for my son to use when he is going to college. It is very handy, just the right size for one person's every day use.

The lid is slightly too small
Date: 2009-02-09 | Rating: 4
First off, the pot itself is great. My food cooks evenly, doesn't stick, and is easy to clean off after use. The pot is also well-made, not flimsy in the least. The lid, however, fits too loosely. Using it as a strainer for smaller items can be somewhat difficult as it may slide or go back and forth while straining. It's not a huge problem - it's not a detriment to use, just a small complaint.

Genuine non-stick, great strainer!
Date: 2009-06-01 | Rating: 4
This pot heats up well and evenly. The pour spout's great, and the strainer-lid is a real treat for straining pasta! Only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the lid's not air-tight, steam escapes when anything's boiling. It cleans up so easily!

Extremely useful
Date: 2007-12-16 | Rating: 5
On the one hand I want to say that a one-quart saucier (or pot) is a great idea that I've neglected for too long. I've hesitate because I do not have a large kitchen and do not like single-use or specialty items cluttering up valuable shelf/drawer space. The one-quart is just a bit of a specialty and I use it for making pudding, gravies, a can of soup, or often for warming up leftovers. Now that the kids are grown, the size is just right for my wife and I. I don't use the pour spout much and I'm not sure it's all that useful, but I have a cover from another pot and I like having a bit of a hole for the steam to come out so I don't have to "cock" the lid. OK, so that is my brief pitch for the idea of a one-quart pot. Speaking specifically about this Cuisinart pot, let me start by saying I only have one one-quart pot, and this is it. I was concerned that the small base would not work well on my electric range. No problem. It sits solidly, even when empty. The handle has cut-outs near the pot so that heat does NOT travel up it much--I never have to use a potholder to pick it up. The constuction is absolutely solid--this is not a "little league" pot, but rather a big-leaguer in a small size. All the weightiness, strong materials, and solid riveting one expects in any of Cuisinarts top range. One last comment. It does go on sale from time to time and I bought it when it was, making it an especially good value.

Beautiful liitle pan; beautiful little price!
Date: 2008-09-09 | Rating: 5
I couldn't be happier with this high quality 1 qt saucier. It's perfect for preparing my individual serving of chai in the traditional method on the stovetop. And with the pouring lip I never spill the hot chai in the transfer to my mug. Other bonuses: heats up quickly and water boils on medium heat, handle stays cool and best of all, clean-up is a breeze. The Amazon price can't be beat!

very pleased

A good, solid set of Pots & Pans
Date: 2009-02-10 | Rating: 5
Although we've only had the set about 6 weeks, we are totally satisfied. The set is everything they claimed to be. We're retired and prepare 1-2 meals a day. As such I didn't feel like spending hundreds of dollars on a "professional" set. These are perfect for those who need an everyday set but don't want to settle for the discount sets. So far, we have found no negatives to report.

Cooking made easy!
Date: 2009-01-20 | Rating: 5
This is my first set of Cuisinart cookware and I am really happy with them. The cooking surface heats very evenly even when my pan is on a smaller burner. The weight is nice, not too heavy. I know I said cooking made easy, but I should have said clean-up made easy! I hand wash as everything just wipes right out. I would definitely recommend these anyone looking for a quality set of cookware.

Great price

For the money a great buy. Bought on sale and do not regret. Lids have metal ring around glass which make them much more sturdy.

must have
Date: 2009-01-09 | Rating: 5
After years of t-fal nonstick pans, these are the best I have ever used. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great set of pans. I would also suggest not to put them in the dishwasher, hand washing these is so easy the cooked on stuff just wipes right off.

Awesome Set
Date: 2009-05-07 | Rating: 5
I love this set and use it on a daily basis. I think the only pice I haven't used is the 12 inch everyday pan, and that's simply because I'm only cooking for two, and there's no need for such a large pan at the moment. My only complaint is that I wish that everyday pan had one long handle and a helper handle, instead of two helper handles. Other than that, I love it. Cooks very evenly, extremely easy to clean, and the handles stay nice and cool. Not too heavy, but not flimsy at all.

Great for the Non-Stick Fan
Date: 2007-12-14 | Rating: 5
If you are a non stick cookware fan this is a great set! I too had no trouble with stickers. The red color is nice, the non stick surface works great, the pans are heavy weight, padded handles are a super nice feature and the lids are heavy. Coming from a 10 year old T-fal set these are a serious upgrade. And my Friday sale price was 59.99, worth every penny!

Cuisinart 10 Piece Cookware Set Rocks!
Date: 2007-12-31 | Rating: 5
I bought this set because it was a good price. I did not think that I was going to be the happiest with the "red" color, but as it turns out, it is a deeper, richer color than the picture portrays. The pans feel nice and heavy (not as heavy as a much more expensive set) but very nice for the price I paid. The non-stick surface is just that - non-stick and easy to clean. The bottom of the pans is the part I like - there are no "hot spots" to burn my food as I am cooking. I do have a husband and teenaged son who are hard on things but so far these pans are standing up to their abuse. For the price, I would definitely recommend these.

Cuisinart Cookware Defended!
Date: 2008-02-08 | Rating: 5
I first found this deal on a HT board and knew that Cuisinart was an excellent brand so I ordered them. Before I received them I saw one or two reviews that they weren't as nice as others had expected. I was a little leary until mine arrived. I'm not sure if these people were professional chef's or what, but I bought these to replace a T-Fal set and I think they are WONDERFUL! They are a nice/fun color and the quality is just as high as the ones they replaced.

Very Pleased
Date: 2008-01-02 | Rating: 5
I was very pleased with this. I am very hard on cookware and don't like to spend a lot on it. I got this for 39.99 and was very pleased. Good weight, great teflon coating and also very attractive (added bonus).

Super set at a super price!
Date: 2008-01-08 | Rating: 5
I got this set for $39.99 with free super saver shipping. I had to wait awhile for it to get here, but with the free shipping that is more then fine. I loved the set right away. We took it out of the box I rinsed out a pot and started using it! The handles are longer then most, and the rubber grips on the handles are nice. The glass lids are sturdy and are interchangable with the different pots. They feel good and heavy. I have a new pot rack and the rest of the set is hanging on it. I didn't have anything that was worthy of it hanging on it, but these definately are!
