The Ideal Nonstick Cookware set
Date: 2009-06-22 | Rating: 5
This set is the most amazing one I have worked with. I have used various other nonstick pans, stainless steel, cast iron... and i prefer these pans over all. One thing to note is that the nonstick surface scratches right off of these pans if you use any kind of metal. As the pans have exposed metal on them it is not a good idea to stack them on top of each other or to let pile up in the sink. This has not at all been a problem for me because the cleanup on these pans is super fast. Get yourself a set of bamboo kitchen utensils in addition to this set and your in business for some eco-friendly low toxicity cooking.

GREAT set
Date: 2009-02-23 | Rating: 5
I love, love, love these pans. I was looking for something that was not teflon because of the negative health effects I have read about, and this cookware is a wonderful non-stick alternative. The instructions say you can use little (or no) butter/grease etc., but I always use just a touch depending on what I'm cooking, and NOTHING sticks to these pans. They wash like a breeze so no problem not putting them in the dishwasher. They seem to brown more evenly and heat more effectively than my other, cheaper pots and pans. I would highly recommend to anyone willing to spend the money. I am looking to add additional pieces not included in this set.

great eco-friendly cookware!

love this cookware set. had it a few weeks now and couldn't be happier. very lightweight, easy to clean and use. have not had anythink stick to it and have enjoyed cooking with it.

Love my pots and pans!
Date: 2009-06-08 | Rating: 5
I honestly didn't think I was going to think much of this product since they lack the materials that traditional nonstick cookware is made of. But I LOVE these pots and pans. They're lightweight, heat up quickly and are easy to clean. I have more expensive nonstick pots and pans from another well-known company (starts with a "C") but they are heavy. This line works just as well and are half the price!

NO OIL NEEDED! Absolutely the best pans you will ever own!
Date: 2009-12-06 | Rating: 5
I am ecstatic about these pans. The first time I used it I discovered that I could fry anything without oil, without sticking! Even the oil I did use that day, would not stick to this pan. A total surprise to me and a welcome one, as I have always watched my calories and keep oils to a minimum. True, I was looking for alternative to teflon. I am thrilled to have found out about these as I wanted a safe product but didn't want to have to struggle to cook in or clean my pans. SO grateful to know that a BIG manufacturer such as Cuisinart cares about their manufacturing environment! As a conscientious consumer, I have accepted that a product I use (but not this one) may not always be the best working product compared to the damaging, unhealthy for the environment, chemical products... and thats OK because we all need to be responsible for the earth and respect all life around us. BUT NOT THE CASE WITH THESE PANS. The Cuisinart GreenGourmet pans are the best pans I have ever used in my lifetime (and I'm an old woman... it's been a long time). Love these so much I am looking for more sizes and am buying a second set now! Getting rid of all the NON GreenGourmet pans in my kitchen. I've had these now for four months and they look as good as new. I am wanting Cuisinart GreenGourmet to make a large square flat griddle, without the ridges in it (vegetarians don't need ridges). THANK YOU Cuisinart GreenGourmet!

Amazon.com Review
This cookware from Cuisinart's Chef's Classic series incorporates both the classic good looks of gleaming stainless steel with the ease of an interior nonstick finish. Not just any nonstick, this finish is Quantanium, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little or no oil is needed for cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. An aluminum core encapsulated in the base conducts heat quickly and evenly without hotspots. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and the handles are also stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F and dishwasher-safe. This 12-piece set of commonly used pots and pans makes a great starter set for the home chef. The three saucepans, holding 1, 2, and 3 quarts, take care of most boiling, warming, and steaming needs; the 8- and 10-inch skillets turn out perfect eggs, pancakes, and browned sausage; the 3-quart covered sauté pan is a good size for stir-fried vegetables, fried chicken, or braised beef; and the ever-popular 8-quart stockpot feeds the whole family with soup, chili, or corn-on-the-cob. All but the skillets come with lids. While dishwasher-safe, washing nonstick cookware by hand is recommended. Cuisinart covers the set with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 12-piece cookware set. Big Bling on the cheap!!
Date: 2008-07-24 | Rating: 5
I have a full set of Calphalon, it is bulletproof, but it looks old and is klunky and kind of unwieldly. I wanted something non-stick, lighter to handle and polished. Did alot of research and decied to try the Cuisinart. It arrived promptly and is it ever gorgeous!! It cooks evenly, heats quickly on a gas cooktop. Cleans easily, for the price and value, I don't know how you can beat it. I had reserved the option of buying Alclad or another brand if this wasn't up to my expectations, the Cuisinart is. If you need a great set of cookware, for a great price- BUY IT. Heck, you can shave in the reflection from the pot. It is that nice.

Great product at a great price...

Getting a really well made cooking set at a very reasonable price seemed almost impossible. Till I found this set. It is solidly made, feels great in the hands while cooking and the non-stick appears to be a good coating. I get good heat control, quick heat-up and efficient heat transfer. As far as I can tell, there are no odd spots. Having used them for only a month, I cannot comment of longevity, but so far, the set has been excellent. Highly recommended.

Love this set!!

I have been through so many sets of pots/pans over the years. These are by far the best set I have owned...and at a great price!! I was worried about the handles getting hot, but they dont at all. I can tell they will last forever...feel so durable and look great!!

Perfect cookware set
Date: 2008-04-05 | Rating: 5
These are the perfect pots and pans. Stainless outside but a nonstick interior, dishwasher safe and best of all they heat evenly. No need for high heat with these, as instructed I boiled water on a med high setting and it boiled faster than my old pots on high. I would highly recommend these.

You're gonna like it

This stainless steel cuisinart set is well worth the cost. It looks professional, great price, heats up quickly and nothing sticks. Delivery was fast, no shipping damages so why shop anywehere else? You have to admit that old clunky dark anodized stuff looks like you're flipping eggs with a buick. Step into the shiny stainless steel and you won't regret it. The handles have stayed cool to the touch to maybe warm. Not hot where you couldn't grab them. I'd buy another one without question.

excellent--perfect for 2
Date: 2007-06-06 | Rating: 5
This pan is much thinner and lighter than, say, Calphalon commercial, but I've had no problem with food sticking. The size of the pan makes it a great mini-wok; it's 3" deep, 7" across the bottom, and 9 3/4" across the top. The bottom is flat, which I think is perfect if you want to saute onions, green peppers, etc. It has a clear glass lid with a good size handle. After years of cooking on a gas range, I now find myself cooking on one of those awful ceramic cooktops where you never know what the temp. is and things tend to boil over. Now when I cook rice--normally done in a 2 qt. pan, I use this pan because the 3 qt. size is more forgiving of boil overs. I hate ceramic/electic cooktops, but this pan makes them easier to live with. Anything you'd normally cook in a 2 qt saucepan you can cook in this pan and have a little margin for error. The 7" bottom is exactly the same size as the large burner on my ceramic cooktop. At just $30 this pan is a bargain, and I use it frequently. Get one. You'll like it.

Being of Asian background, I do a lot of stir frying; that is why I enjoy any deep type frying pans/woks. I also ordered the 4-quart wok and the 13 inch wide large wok (all w/glass lids to see through and make sure the veggies don't get over-cooked!) Nothing sticks to the hard-anodized bottoms. My only wish are the handles could use some kind of insulation, like rubber and/or plastic - gets very hot; pot holders a must! My Cuisinart set all have insulated handles. Other than that, I love cooking in all of them - even replaced my aluminum oriental wok that I bought in an Asian market.

Fantastic Cookware!!
Date: 2009-05-30 | Rating: 5
My wife recently began researching possible harmful items in our home, and asked me to get cookware without Teflon. Having grown up with non-stick pans, and having had a bad encounter with stainless steel, I was expecting this change to be a nightmare. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. I researched healthy alternatives to non-stick and came up with ionized aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron and ceramic coated cast iron. None of these seemed like a great choice. I then went to Bed Bath and Beyond to look at pans and discovered the Cuisinart Green line. After seeing the cast iron, I realized we probably would somehow damage our new glasstop stove as it was so heavy, so ceramic coated aluminum sounded great. I settled on either Calphalon One infused ionized aluminum or the Cuisinart line. However, Bed Bath and Beyond is a bit confusing with the Cuisinart line. They sell Cuisinart "Greenware" as a set and Green "Gourmet" as individual pieces. The Green Gourmet set is a bit more expensive, and I was advised by the salesperson not to buy GreenWare as it has a rough bottom that may scratch a glass top stove. He offerred to order a Green Gourmet set, but I decided to buy one Caphalon and one GreenGourmet frying pan and test them before investing in a set. I honestly didn't expect either to work as well as my non-stick pans. I generally only cook breakfast on the weekends, so I cooked what I know how to cook. I took both pans and set the burner at the same setting (6 on my stove which is the setting I used for the non-stick pans). I made pancake batter and used an organic olive oil cooking spray. Interestingly, the Cuisinart pan was too hot at 6 so the pancakes burned and I had to set the stove at 4 to get the same results as the 6 on the Calphalon pan. Both pans were great with the pancakes--better than my non-stick pan and probably the prettiest looking pancakes I have ever made. The Cuisinart pan was very easy to clean, but the Calphalon took a bit more effort. On another day, I cooked eggs. Again using the same Olive Oil spray. The eggs immediately stuck to the Calphalon pan. Having read instructions on using cast iron and waiting for the eggs to "release", I waited, and waited and waited. What a mess! I couln't get the burnt eggs off the pan. Of course as soon as I put the pan in the sink with water, they popped right off so clean up was easy. I'm sure there is a correct way to cook eggs on this pan, but I couldn't do it after 4 tries. On the Cuisinart Pan, I had no problem, and surprisingly, the eggs seemed to be easier to turn over than on our old Farberware non-stick. So after this, I decided to get the Cuisinart and ordered from Amazon which was $50 cheaper than the price quoted by the Bed Bath and Beyond salesperson who offerred to order it for me.

The best pots and pans

We are extremely pleased with our Green Gourmet cookware. They cook nicely, are very non-stick, and are quite easy to clean. I would absolutely buy them again.

Great Cookware

I have an Amazon Parrot and cooking with non-stick cookware can kill the bird so I had to remove the Teflon coated cookware from my home. I first purchased one of the frying pans and BB&B (expensive, but necessary). I really liked the way these pans cooked and made cleaning easier and nothing sticks. The best part is I found the entire cookware set through Amazon and saved over $300. The order arrived in just 4 days. Now I always check Amazon for anything I purchase first.

Best I ever owned.
Date: 2009-01-18 | Rating: 5
Wonderful non-stick surfaces. No Teflon plastics or chemicals leaching into foods. Great price for great stuff. Been using it for a month now with no complaints. Glass lids might have been nice to see the foods cooking, but only a minor inconvenience. Shopped around quite a bit and this was hands down the best deal I found.

Eco-friendly
Date: 2009-05-09 | Rating: 5
This is the best set of cookware my wife has ever used. She thanks me from time to time as cleaning is a breeze. The coated surface is slick enough in that you use less than half of the usual oil or butter to grease the pan so to speak. Read and follow the directions for use as you can not use this if high heat is required, it may damage the cooking surface. You really have to try at least one item in this set as the smaller eight inch skillet is for sale separately; to really appreciate the value of this cookware. These items are also eco-friendly and that's something along with recycling which will help protect the environment. I am going to buy another set as soon as it is available.

From Cuisinart's Chef's Classic series comes this handsome, durable cookware with triple-layer construction. The exterior is hard-anodized aluminum, which is even stronger than stainless steel, with an encapsulated pure aluminum core for quick, even heating. The interiors of the pots and pans feature Cuisinart's Quantanium nonstick finish, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little oil or butter is needed when cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and handles are pure stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F. Cuisinart puts together all the most commonly used pots and pans in this comprehensive 17-piece set. Three covered saucepans hold 1-1/2, 2, and 3 quarts, perfect for those everyday tasks such as warming soup, cooking rice, or steaming vegetables. The 8- and 10-inch skillets slide out perfect French toast and pancakes, not to mention eggs over easy with bacon. Use the covered 12-inch skillet or 4-quart covered sauté pan, both with helper handles, for stir-fried vegetables, sautéed seafood, or braised beef. The covered 9-quart stockpot is perfect for big batches of chili and hearty soups. Two bonus items are the all-purpose covered steamer and deeper pasta insert that fit the stockpot and do away with having to use a colander for draining. Cleanup is easy, just a quick wash by hand takes care of any food residue. Nonstick, hard-anodized cookware is best kept out of the dishwasher. Cuisinart
Date: 2007-05-14 | Rating: 5
This is a beautiful set of cookware and, I think, a great value...I paid $189.99 for 17 pieces, 15 of which are pots, pans & lids and 2 inserts..for pasta and for steaming. I like that there are 2 of the same size lid. You always get 1 lid that fits 2 items in the set and I would always use them at the same time and only be able to cover 1. No worries with this set--there is 1 lid for each. Also, I did a lot of price shopping before I picked this one and it's the only brand that calls it 17-piece and gives you all cookware. Every other set I saw that was over, say, 10 pieces-- the extra was knives or plastic utensils vs pots and pans. If it was 17 pieces, 7 to 9 of them were bowls, utensils, knives, etc. Rip offs for the prices they charged. And finally..the outside is nice and smooth, not ringed or otherwise textured...makes for nice cleanup and hopefully they'll stay nice looking longer than their predecessors. The ONLY thing I'm not thrilled with is that the lid handles do get warm...even hot. The pot and pan handles don't, but the lids definitely do. But for the price and quality? I have potholders.... Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. What the heck..5 it is!

Cuisinart it's definately quality

The reason I decided to purchase these was simply because of the great customer service I had recieved from Cuisinart. I had purchased a frying pan and one of the 115V tines broke. I called Customer service and they sent me out a brand new pan no questions asked. These pans are great however they are NOT dishwasher safe. The outside finish will dull (Don't ask) but I recovered it with some olive oil. They wash quite quickly and nicely. Definately non stick. Great even heat.

Super pots
Date: 2007-06-10 | Rating: 5
A previous review pointed out that the lids don't stack so the set requires some space to store, but I find that the ones I use most are easy enough to keep handy. This is a great starter set and well worth the price.

Great value and excellent product!
Date: 2008-07-25 | Rating: 5
I researched a lot of different sets before I decided on this one and I love it! I've had it for about a month now and I've had no problems. The set, including lids, actually takes up LESS SPACE then the mishmash assortment of pots, pans, lids, steamers, colanders etc that were being replaced. The bin that I had been using to hold lids worked perfectly to hold the lids for the set. As for cooking, I've found that the Hard Anondized Alum. conducts heat much faster then the SS set that I had been using previously. I've definately had to lower the heat settings that I use. I can now get water up to a boil in no time. I had almost been ready to call in a repair service because it used to take almost 15 minutes to get water to boil for pasta. Now, a bigger pot is at a boil in less than 5. The clear lids are great! I can check on foods without losing any of the heat.

EXCELLENT QUALITY
Date: 2007-08-04 | Rating: 5
This cookware is amazing. There is no need for cooking spray or any oil. It truly is "non-stick". It cleans easily and there is a definite difference in the way it cooks food. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!!

I am an avid home chef & treasure high-quality cookware. These are great! They are thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I truly love. Lower heat settings can be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & severity of burns if the user is accident prone. Some things to know: 1. These pans are designed to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from a lot of those small injuries caused to them by stacking. 2. The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel "buttons" where the handles are attached - everything sticks well there). 3. Although they say "Metal Utensil Safe", DON'T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware. 4. Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing. 5. With the small steamer insert, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the insert. With the stockpot insert, 2 inches. This can be pushed to nearly 3, but the mess from overfilling is big. 6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You won't ever have to buy replacements for them as long as you don't abuse them.

Easy clean up, great price!

I never write reviews, but this one is worth it! Cleanup is a snap, even baked on cheese. Normally I dread cleaning pans and just toss them in the dishwasher. I did abide by the instructions and washed them by hand. Egg, grease, baked on cheese, you name it. A little hot water and soap under the faucet does the trick. I'm tossing my other pans.

Great Buy

These pots and pans are great! We love them and use them everyday. You don't need any type of cooking spray at all in them. You can not put them in the dishwasher, but for a few extra minutes of cleaning up, it is really worth it. I would buy from this line again.

Simply outstanding

15 years out of school and in desperate need of new pans, I researched for months on cookware brands, materials, pan-types and price. I purchased the Cuisinart 14-piece set based on my research & the enthusiastic commentary of so many other long-time users. In every day use, this Cuisinart cookware has met my expectations. All of the pans - including the skillets - can be used with the lids included in the set. You won't get as many lids as pans, but having a perfectly-fitting lid on hand for both the 8" & 10" skillet is rare, and really nice. The cookware pieces are attractive, well-made and perform exactly as described by the manufacturer. A smooth finish inside and out means that hand-washing is easy; food just does not stick in the pans. The rivets are easy to clean, too -- these are big pluses since my schedule does not allow for much additional time for chores. I tend to use medium to medium-high heats for most dishes, and haven't needed high heat to get quick & even results. I don't have a kitchen large enough to hang the cookware pieces, so I stack/nest them in my cupboard, using Wonderliner padded shelf inserts between them to mitigate against any scratching. However, the Cuisinart Cookware's nonstick surface has been quite durable and the set shows no signs of interior nor exterior wear. The steamer insert is great for vegetables and Asian dumplings (I never use the pasta insert.) I couldn't find the steamer insert sold separately, and you can't use a metal fan basket steamer on the nonstick surface, so buy the 14- or 17- piece sets to receive it. I use wood and silicone-based utensils with the set. I own other cookware (Cuisinart Multiclad, Staub & Le Creuset) to cover a full range of cooking needs. Nonstick is essential for certain applications; all in all, it truly has been a terrific set for me.

Tremendous value.

Couldn't be happier with this cookware set. Heating is even. Very good performance in the oven for finishing. Pieces are well balanced and easy to clean. Hand wash only! We waited a long time to replace a myriad of unmatched pots and pans. We chose well with this set.

This versatile cookware set from Cuisinart comprises a roomy 8-quart stockpot for soups and pasta, 3- and 1-1/2-quart saucepans, 8- and 10-inch skillets, and a 3-1/2-quart saute pan. The stockpot, saute pan, and saucepans come with tempered glass covers, designed to seal in flavor without hiding the food from view. Each piece is made from durable hard-anodized aluminum that heats up quickly without hot spots, and each is lined with an advanced Quantanium nonstick coating. Quantanium is designed for healthy low-fat cooking, allowing even delicate foods like fish to be cooked without sticking. Every pan cleans up quickly and easily, and is tough enough for use with metal utensils, giving years of trouble-free service. The securely riveted stay-cool steel handles on each pan are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, so food can be browned on the stovetop then transferred to the oven to finish cooking. Together, the six pans in this set will handle almost any everyday cooking task, making them ideal for setting up a new kitchen or replacing older cookware. --Simon Leake What's in the Box 1-1/2-quart saucepan with lid, 3-quart saucepan with lid, 3-1/2-quart saute pan with helper handle and lid, 8-quart stockpot with lid, 8-inch open skillet, and 10-inch open skillet.

Great cookware set
Date: 2006-07-08 | Rating: 5
I purchased this cookware set about 1 year ago. My husband and I are both big cookers, eating in at least 6 days per week. I tried one of the stainless skillets first and was very disappointed at how everything we cooked stuck and left stains. Ended up purchasing this set and have been very pleased. Nothing sticks, very easy and quick to wash up. Coulding be happier. The set is very sturdy and I anticipate this being the last set of cookware I will need to purchase. *Update* I have now had the set for almost 1 year. The cookware still looks almost new. Food does not stick, there are no scratches in the non-stick surface for food and bacteria to cling to. The anodized finish on the outside remains a dark matte finish. I highly recommend this set of cookware! Now we have used this set for about three years! One small dark stain on the bottom of the skillet I use the most. Still looks great. Finish is still in great condition. Couldn't be happier.

Amazing value for the price

My boyfriend is an expert level cook, while I am just an amateur. He picked out this set of cookware for me, and both us are thrilled with it. It is so easy to clean, it's ridiculous. The handles don't get hot at all, the food quality is coming out really great, and the set looks really pretty and expensive. No one can believe I got this for the price I did.

For those who think the nonstick coating is not so great...
Date: 2007-12-14 | Rating: 5
Just be glad you didn't buy a Calphalon One Nonstick pan from Williams-Sonoma for full price $140 and then like an idiot, use spray on it which is the reason for the damage to the nonstick. I wish I would've known that before I used it on the nonstick, but it's true....the chemicals in the nonstick sprays damage the nonstick coating of the pan and it is no longer safe to use the pan because it is unhealthy after it's damaged, you have to throw it away and get another one. This Cuisinart nonstick is just as safe and functional as the super expensive pieces by all clad and calphalon, and if you educate yourself to take care of them properly, will last years and years if not for the rest of your life which is a good deal!

Good Set...
Date: 2007-01-19 | Rating: 5
It's been a good set so far. I love the fact that I don't need oil or cooking spray to make over-easy eggs or omlets. The non-stick coating is great and the pans can go straight from the stove top to the oven. I plan to make a lasagna in the large saute pan...that should be interesting. :)

Great pans at a good price.
Date: 2007-10-28 | Rating: 5
I purchased this set of Cuisinart cookware recently and have used then for the past three weeks. They are by far the best set of cookware I have owned to date. The pans are thick enough that they grab and retain heat very quickly and evenly. The non-stick coating is the slickest I have encountered, nothing sticks and cleanup is literally a swish with a soapy dishcloth. The metal handles are really designed well. The handle forks out as it nears the rivets on the pans leaving a open gap, this gap disipates the heat from the pan before it can climb up the metal handle. This is a great set of cookware.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic non-stick hard anodized 1-1/2-quart saucepan with cover. Cool grip riveted handles for ease of use, durable hard anodized exterior, Quantanium non-stick interior, tempered glass covers seal in flavor, hard anodized, oven-safe construction.

Amazon.com Review
This small but versatile 1-1/2 quart saucepan is ideal for heating milk, melting butter, or making sauces. It's also perfect for the single cook, allowing small amounts of food to be heated without the scorching that can happen in a larger pan. The thick, hard-anodized aluminum construction conducts heat evenly and efficiently through the sides as well as the base, a tempered glass lid seals in flavor while keeping the contents visible, and a specially designed rim allows for easy drip-free pouring. Cuisinart Chef's Classic hard-anodized cookware features an advanced Quantanium nonstick coating, designed for healthy low-fat cooking. The coating is tough enough for use with metal utensils. Even delicate foods like fish can be cooked without sticking, and cleanup is quick and easy. Every pan is constructed from durable 3mm hard-anodized aluminum, providing superb heat transfer without hot spots. The securely riveted stay-cool steel handles are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, so food can be browned on the stovetop then transferred to the oven to finish cooking. This pan should be hand-washed with a mild detergent, and it carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects. --Simon Leake

Useful, Quality, and Value
Date: 2004-06-17 | Rating: 5
This is absolutey an awesome pan, and when you factor the price, its a steal. The Quantanium nonstick coating allows you to saute, with no worries about sticking, or scorching. If you want to finish off a dish in the broiler or oven, its oven safe up to 500 degrees. The riveted stay-cool steel handle allows you to handle the pot while cooking without a potholder, wich is nice if you like to make quick sauces or gravies and pour it right onto food on the plate, also never worry about the handle getting lose. And also while cooking you dont have to open the pot to monitor food, and lose steam or heat due to the break-resistant tempered glass lid. Perfect Perfect Perfect pot.

Great Saucepan at Super Price

I purchased both the Cuisinart Hard-Anodized 1-1/2 quart and 2 quart saucepans and am very impressed with the build quality, performance, styling, looks, and value. I have used both several times and find that they distribute heat evenly and work very well on low to medium electric stove burner settings. Clean-up is a snap; hot soapy water makes these saucepans look like they came right from the box. The handles do not get too hot and the non-stick interior shows no sign of deterioration. The glass lids -- nice feature -- fit just right, however, their handles do get hot so a hotpad is a must. These saucepans are not as thick or heavy as their Calphalon counterparts but perform just a well and cost less. I think that Cuisinart's non-stick surface is superior to Calphalon's. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Great multi-purpose pan
Date: 2006-01-15 | Rating: 5
I have been slowly building a Cuisinart collection. I am extremely pleased with the value and performance of these pans. I have had the 2qt saucepan for over a year now and it sees frequent use. Great to make home made gravy, sauces, soup, leftovers, or to heat some veggies. I use this pan occaisionally for making rice as well. The pan heats quickly and evenly, the handle stays cool enough to handle, and the non-stick surface holds up well. I stick to wood and nylon utensils as any non stick surface can be damaged by aggressive metal utensils. If your looking for a non stick sauce pan buy this one. You'll love the performance and the look. Nice see through lid to watch your veggies too. If used on a long simmer with lid, the lid will get a little hot so keep a pot holder nearby to lift it. Cuisinart makes some great cookware.

Great pan!

This sturdy pan is great for heating up soups and I also use it to stir fry veggies. The nonstick coating works well and I haven't seen any scratches yet. Heats up quickly and evenly. Just make sure you use wood or nylon utensils and keep it medium heat or lower.

Great Pot
Date: 2004-09-18 | Rating: 5
This pot is a great deal. I had it for a couple of weeks now and it has been great for cooking, nothing sticks to it and clean up is easy. I love the glass top for see what is in the pot and how it is cooking. Great pot for the money. I find this pot to be just as good as my non stick calphalon if not a little better and the price is lower then the calphalon.

Dishwasher proof...love it!
Date: 2009-06-04 | Rating: 5
The most important factor in my purchase of this product was they they can be washed in the dishwasher. With three kids, hand washing pots, pans and knives every night is just something I'm no longer willing to do. The manufacturer states that while these are dishwasher-proof, they still recommend hand washing. I have owned mine for a month now and washed them almost nightly in the dishwasher and they still look brand new. Quality is top-notch and worth every penny.

great pots with great price, i would've paid more!
Date: 2009-03-09 | Rating: 5
this pot set is quite wonderful! i love the cleanability and dishwasher-safe stainless and the nonstick is fantastic! it's been hard to find a set with both attributes. the nonstick never needs soaking to get off tough, dried-on foods. the lids on a few are interchangeable, so you don't have to have too many lids. the 2qt. pot lid fits the 8-inch skillet. the 3qt. pot, the 3.5 quart saute pan, and the stock pot all have the same diameter, so any of their lids can be used with the 10-inch skillet. the only thing i would change is the make the 3.5 quart saute pan a little deeper, maybe by an inch or two. i realize that would also change the capacity for the better. the encapsulated aluminum bottom on all the pots and skillets really provides even heating. i definitely think it's worth it to get this 14-piece over the 12-piece. the only difference is the 12-inch everyday pan and it's lid which has come in more handy than i thought. it's a great size for 4-6 and possibly 8 servings of meat. if you're looking for quality stainless and nonstick, you'll love this set!

Great set

I recently moved to the US from England and had to leave my old pots behind. I was looking for something similar to what I used to have and this seemed to be the closest. There is a pot size for pretty much anything you could want to cook. They hold the heat great as they have thick bottoms. The pots are pretty heavy for my weak wrists but luckily, the bigger pots have a second handle to help carry them from the range to wherever you need them. The glass lids are also pretty heavy and the handles do get a little hot but I was able to lift them off without a glove or towel after 45 minutes of simmering. You might want to get a small glove though. I'm using the pots on an electric radiant glass top and I get even heat throughout. I'd definitely recommend these pots to anyone looking for a good, solid non-stick pot set.

Great pans. Great deal

I really enjoy using these pans. I got the set for Christmas and had them open, clean, and cooking Christmas dinner within an hour. They are wonderful! All of the pans heat evenly, clean up quickly (which my husband appreciates), and are able to transfer seamlessly from the stovetop to the oven, which I never thought I would do until my sister was making sweet potatoes. Who knew!

Great set
